In it, I explore the fact that governments which privilege Parasites over Industry violate the Social Contract.
The very purpose of governments is to create conditions for Industry, broadly defined. Industry is a positive human activity which uses human gifts and talents to transform the gifts of Nature for the mutual benefit of men and women.
Economic Parasites act as a drain to siphon-off wealth for themselves without contributing to the health of the Host economy. Parasites are a drag on Industry, and if governments allow too much Parasitism, then Parasites will eventually destroy Industry completely and hollow-out and de-industrialize an Economy, just as some parasites in the Natural World will hollow out the body of their Host, leaving the Host as a kind of walking-dead Zombie.
The Ancient Wisdom given to all cultures in their Myths and Sacred Stories warn us against Parasites, while encouraging Industry.
The ancient struggle of Industry vs Parasitism continues to this day. In fact, we cannot properly understand current events and the situation in "the west" without understanding this dynamic.
Catastrophically, however, Parasites have hijacked the very texts of the Ancient Wisdom itself, in order to advance Parasitism. Parasites often don't want the Host to know the Parasite is even there: for instance, the leech has saliva which numbs the site where the leech attaches to its Host.
