The long-awaited 2nd Annual Sean Kacan Memorial Contact at the Canyons extravaganza arrived last weekend, and it was unforgettable! This event was first envisioned by Darren Grimes of The Grimerica Show podcast and the first one was supposed to take place in spring of 2020, but was postponed all the way to spring of 2021 (see this previous blog post for a trip report from that April 2021 event).
Above is a time-lapse video made by my friend Patrick Cupp showing one of the highlights of the Canyons event: star-gazing at the rim of Bryce Canyon, with discussion of the constellations and mythological connections provided by myself (using a laser pointer to indicate the different constellations and heavenly objects such as the Beehive Cluster).
Just prior to the Canyons event, however, I was invited to join Randall Carlson and friends at his Grand Vision conference in Sedona Arizona which took place the weekend before Contact at the Canyons -- what an opportunity! Video of that two-week Grand Vision event, which also included well-known speakers Graham Hancock, Sean Webb, and others -- and, of course, Randall himself -- is available for purchase at HowTube (for details, go to HowTube.com and search for "Mathisen": I will post more information about the video package as I learn more).
In between the Sedona event and the Contact at the Canyons event (which took place at Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks in Utah), I had the opportunity to visit the stunning Meteor Crater in Arizona, as well as the Grand Canyon. Below are some selected photos from the entire memorable road trip:

Evidence of catastrophic geology and liquefaction in the desert surrounding Zion National Park -- support for arguments presented by Dr. Walt Brown in his Hydroplate Theory. For more on that theory's analysis of the catastrophic geology of the Colorado Plateau, see this YouTube video.
While I obviously do not believe that the scriptures of the Bible are intended to be understood literally (and in fact I can prove that they are not literal or historical but rather metaphorical, celestial, and esoteric), the evidence that our planet has experienced catastrophes of cataclysmic proportions is undeniable -- and I am convinced that the analysis of Dr. Walt Brown is extremely valuable in trying to understand the geology of Earth and our planet's ancient history.
